Oak Lodge is spacious, well equipped, attractively furnished with oak floors and is all on one level. Situated on a working arable farm, it is a short distance from Swannington village. It is surrounded by beautiful farmland and paddocks with horses.

There are footpaths close by which link to the eleven-mile cycling and walking path of Marriott’s Way. In a peaceful location yet minutes from the historic city of Norwich, it provides a comfortable base for exploring this pocket of Norfolk.

In a central position for exploring some of Norfolk’s finest attractions, guests at Swannington can enjoy some excellent golf at Weston Park and Barnham Broom, and walking and cycling paths, such as the Marriott’s Way, the Bure Valley and Weavers Way.

The Broads are an easy drive, where you can enjoy a river cruise or hire a boat by the day. Within a thirty minute drive, you can enjoy North Norfolk and its wide sandy beaches.

The cathedral city of Norwich with all its cultural attractions and shopping opportunities is approximately fifteen minutes by car. Norfolk abounds with National Trust properties with Blickling, Felbrigg and Sheringham Park being the closest.

For those who appreciate natural attractions, the thirty five acres of Alderford common is an Area of Special Scientific Interest and is almost on the doorstep. The Dinosaur Park at Weston Longville and the Norfolk Wildlife Park at Great Witchingham will certainly entertain the young.
